Description : The old Boyd house circa 1810 Panther Creek, Stewart Co., TN. The portholes in teh upper story are for protection against Indians. One of the two blockhouses located between the rivers that was moved to Nashville Centennial Park in the 1960's

The 1810 date is a typo, correct? Should be 1910?

The Boyd house was originally built 1810 near Panther Creek. The date of this particular pic was later, though. It's location shows up on the Civil War maps of the era.

I've saved this one and made it my desktop background. If you have a larger version I would pay for it.

Janet,

No need to pay. Just click on it until it is the largest that it can be, right mouse click and "save as" then send it to a photo center toprint if you wish. It will make a great 8x10 as is.
